Fine Arts Exhibit Program

The Fine Arts Exhibit Program encourages artistic expression among Club members. Youth are encouraged to create artwork in any of the following categories: drawing, painting, print making, collage, and mixed media. Club members have the opportunity to submit their artwork through a national competition and winners will have their artwork displayed at the National Conference.

Cultural Awareness Programs

Cultural Awareness programs are provided throughout the year to expose youth to different cultures. Through these programs youth gain understanding and appreciation for activities, cuisine and beliefs while simultaneously developing respect for persons from different backgrounds, cultures and countries.

Members have the opportunity to learn about photography via The Walk About Safety Class and Filming Class. The Walk About Safety Class serves two purposes as members learn the fundamentals of photography while identifying unsafe behavior such as jaywalking and crossing against traffic lights.

Field Trips

Members receive cultural stimulation via educational field trips to The North Carolina Museum of Art, Nasher Museum, and Museum of Life and Science. Members develop an appreciation for the abstract beauty of art, the miracle of life, and the fascinating world of science as they become more well-rounded and cognizant of the world in which they live.
